God has moved us through incredible measures this past year as we are being refined. We are both struck by how fast our time at DTS has gone and excited for what His plan is that lays ahead. However, we have seen a glimpse of what God had in mind by moving us to Dallas and school is only a very small portion of it. Our hearts are being refined through other measures and our lives are being completely stripped of everything but Him. We both have been experiencing great pain as our hearts are headed toward healing. The enemy, Satan, is fast at work to steal, kill, and destroy any hope we may have for restoration but my hope is not lost. I know Christ has already won the battle, the victory for our hearts. His body bled for us as He hung and died on that cross long ago and defeated death by raising from the grave. I lay my heart at Christ's feet as I let Him wrap His arms around me, loving me, restoring me gently. There is no shame in His eyes, only deep, deep, unwaivering love. The only one I can turn to. The only one who gives life. This new year is a start to being refined, broken down, completely humbled before my Father as a wife, mother, and friend. Don't be afraid of the darkness in your heart. We all have the dark places. There is hope in the Light.

Back in Dallas

We had a great summer in Gunnison. Thank you Jason and Jenny for letting us stay at your house! It was a blessing beyond words. We enjoyed seeing family and friends. It went really fast and we are now back in Dallas and loving it! Mike is enjoying school again and church. He has started Hebrew and is a little nervous but I know he'll do great. He is enjoying his other classes and is loving playing the piano again at church. Here are a few pictures from the summer....

Baby Isaac

Isaac is Here! He was born on January 29 at 12:22am weighing in at a hefty 7 lbs. and 13 oz. and 19 3/4 in. tall. The delivery went excellent and both mom and baby are doing great. So far he has been a fairly good sleeper and has gathered quite a bit of attention. Faith and Jacob are so excited about there new baby brother. Aniah on the other hand has a bit of a jealousy problem at times, but she loves to give him kisses and to touch his hair, and more than anything, she was just thankful that mommy got to come home. We are all very thankful to God for this new wonderful addition to our family.

Well, Christmas has flown by us and our seventh anniversary is just a couple of days away. The month of December is always a busy time in our household and this year proved to be no exception.
Faith had her sixth birthday and along with that, she lost her sixth tooth.
The kids also were able to do a special at church on the 23, (we've posted a video of it bellow) and we had fun checking out the Christmas lights around big D. We have been very blessed! One of the most amazing things is that in seven years we have three children and a fourth to be born at the end of this next month. Another amazing thing is that I have finished 2 full years of Seminary and I'm still passing Greek! I am so thankful for what God has done in the past seven years, but I must say that Christina has been (apart from Him) the greatest blessing of them all.
